Dropped bike off for a tune up before riding season begins. Was done very quickly, and at a reasonable price to me. Only down side was, my bike went in with handle bars and seat set for my 5'9" shortness, got back set for someone MUCH taller. I can move it back, but should I really have to? A marker would've let them know right where everything was and set it back.
Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about answering all my questions I had on the bike. Also helped me get it setup the way I wanted in a timely manner.
That was my first of six stops that day. I wasn't nearly as impressed with any other shop (stopped in several from Neenah to Appleton). I went back to Gear N Up to buy my bike, and the guy actually suggested that maybe I should wait a little while and do some more research before I bought a bike. I declined and am extremely happy with what I bought. The next time I need a bike, I'm not going to waste my time going anywhere else.
Rather than show me bikes right away, the guy working there spent some time talking to me to help me figure out what I need. I wasn't sure. I only wanted a decent bike, and didn't have a high budget. Believe it or not, the guy only showed me bikes that were in my budget. He never once tried to sell me anything I couldn't afford. I never once felt pressured. When I'd ask about more expensive features, he was honest about not needing them for the use I'd get out of my bike.
From what I can tell, the sales people aren't paid on commission.

I almost bought a bike on line...what a mistake that would have been. The experience was great! The warranty is great and I really believe I will have no issues from a post sale support standpoint. They are here to grow through providing each and every customer with great local service and support....Amazing!
