Poor service, poor food, rude staff. I would not recommend.
Hotel is under construction and nothing is blocked off. We're here for a wedding reception and the hotel is severely under staffed. Dinner was supposed to be at 5:30 but was served 2 hours late. I will say that our room is very nice and finished unlike some of the lobby. The elevators still have plastic wrap on the doors and blankets hanging in the elevator car. Dry wall chunks all over the floors in the lobby and the hall ways on the first floor. I'm worried about letting my kids walk around without shoes. I think it'll be a really nice place to stay in a couple months but right now it's a mess and should have triple the staff when there's a wedding reception booked. If you plan to stay here before October, I say to you, good luck.
Negative 100 for General ManagerPATTY CHANG who is a disgrace to the business world. She is the furthest thing from a manager I have ever experienced in my 54 years. What makes you think a couple who's wedding was planned on Saturday 8/12/17 should find out 24 hrs before from a CONSTRUCTION EMPLOYEE that the place did not pass inspection and will not be holding there wedding reception. YOU didn't think that was YOUR JOB to contact them yourself??? You need to be FIRED NOW!! This should and could have been handled so much better. A child could have done your job better. So anyone even considering to use the River Walk if PATTY CHANG is still General Manager DO NOT even meet with her. She is a liar, a coward, RUDE, irresponsible, UNPROFESSIONAL excuse of a human being.. Oh and by the way PATTY. The wedding reception that was moved to Oshkosh Convention Center was absolutely awesome..
If I could give zero stars I would. My family booked a room for this weekend. We were scheduled to check in today, 8/11. We received a call at 8:30 last night that said the hotel is unable to accommodate you due to renovations. How can you do that to a family who has a trip planned since April?!!!!!! You have the audacity to call less than 24hours out and cancel our reservation. I am sure they didn't just decide last night to close and renovate. Horrible. Unacceptable. Will NEVER recommend this place. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!
Hotel is being remodeled, but was still in good shape. The remodeled room was nice. The only issue I found was the desire for an extra trashcan.
